It can also be overwhelming to visit a site and have everything moving around and not be able to find information because they are distracted by photos moving in and out or information moving too fast across the screen.

Some ways to tell if your website is keeping up are by visiting competitors’ websites and staying on top of trends. While you definitely don’t want to mimic a competitor’s website, noting the things that they are doing differently that you can put your own twist on can be helpful.
